Five colors of blue vinyl for boat registration stickers – what’s the difference?

We had a customer ask “what is the difference between your blue vinyl colors and how do they really look?” So! We took a photo of these gorgeous blue vinyl shades to show you how they look. This photo was taken in natural outdoor light but not sunlight for the most accurate color.

From left, light blue, marine blue, cobalt, lake blue and storm blue. The range of these from lighter to darker can be used on any white hull at all, and the lightest blue can be used on black or gray hull or accent stripes. The darkest blue, storm, is a great “not black but just as dark” if you want something other than black but want it to be very dark.

Why so many blues? Well, it is popular. Our most popular is black, of course, then white and silver gray metallic. But of the color range we sell boat registration stickers in, blues are very popular.

Why not a baby blue? Pastels are not as easy to make in vinyl colors, and believe it or not this is called light blue and is the second lightest blue manufactured by our supplier. There is a lighter one (only slightly lighter) called ice blue but it’s very similar to this and this light blue offers better contrast on both white and dark hull colors, so that’s why we selected this.
